”I thought you might have a spicy question for me, like the color of my underwear. Or if I'm the kind of woman who only fucks after she's had a few too many glasses of wine.”
Both Nestor and Patricia are in serious need of a good screw. She has been flirting either with him or with Biel since the beginning, and the fact that she was never completely antagonistic toward Nestor means she does have a bit of a crush on him, maybe even thinks about him when she is in the shower and needs a different kind of release. Maybe their chemistry is the reason why the story of Nestor versus the hospital administration didn't seem properly developed in this episode, especially with the hearing not focusing enough on the potential mistakes Nestor may have made by leaving the operating room right as the strike began. And instead of defending Nestor and telling the board that stopping Patricia's operation was for her own sake and survival, he read a letter he wrote to Nestor when he was ten years old, to show the board that his doctor back then and his supervisor now is a physician who cares about his patients.
Meanwhile, Quique was finally involved in something medical, as he was keeping May's heart beating when she coded during the emergency C-section. And here I was, believing that he wasn't even a doctor because the writers only focused on him when it came to his screwed-up love life with Oscar. After this episode, I'm almost hoping that Oscar would suffer an overdose and die (the way he freely takes drugs like it's water has even me disgusted), just so Quique would be free from this danger and be a character for his own story. But this being a show about relationships and not medical storylines, the season finale will most likely continue putting a definition on Quique and Oscar's weird and dangerous romance. By the way, has Pilar stopped bothering to ruin Quique's life, even though she promised to?
Plus points for May and the baby not dying in this episode, even though it fairly looked like that, considering Leo wasn't moving heaven and earth to make sure May and the baby are safe when the contractions seemed too strong for her to handle. If it were up to me, maybe Leo should have stood in front of the board to explain why May almost looked like she was dying during the C-section.
