”Don't worry, I know the rules. Live the rest of my life as my sister and use a condom.”
I'm still waiting for an answer to my question of why Bruce would push Allison to continue living as Lennon (let alone Allison voluntarily continuing to live as her meaner and bitchy twin sister). I would also love to know how the story would look if Bruce were the killer, especially with the backstory of his suicidal wife, and the fact that he has been “training” his daughter to play his twin. There has to be an ulterior motive for all of that. Because, if not, then the whole switcheroo premise is quite the ridiculous plot twist.
Just like Max in the 1997 film, I have no idea why the killer would get rid of Dale. How was he involved in what happened last summer, with the exception of stalking Allison? Maybe the killer loves it if their victims are going to stay free from any other distraction (just as Max could have been a distractions for the people in the 1997 film, since he was fairly antagonistic toward them), but other than that, I have no idea why the killer would not go for their main targets, except for emotionally torture, and keeping the kill count of this slasher TV drama up without killing all of the main characters. Then again, maybe Dale was manipulated into stalking Allison, and may not have even known about it. For all we know, the killer may have texted with Dale, telling him that a hot, blond young woman is waiting for him at a specific spot. As I said, emotional torture...
The writers were already stalling for time. The whole question about Allison's stalker didn't even get answered, because Dale ended up dead (so, he will be unable to tell her why he stalked her – if he stalked her). And the other characters don't even seem to think that a killer is after them, because they behave like this is just another day on the island for them, with the difference that they all have some form of post-traumatic stress. Watching Johnny get decapitated should traumatize them all, but here they are, still talking like they are part of a crime novel instead of a horror slasher.
Except for Dylan. He seemed to have lost a little bit of his mind ever since that night last summer. He looks like he walks through life traumatized already, which could mean two things. One, he could be the killer, and he traumatizes himself by murdering people; two, he is the mental case of the show, turning into an actual danger for the characters as soon as the other threat (the killer) is disposed of.
