”You take my word, you'd be much safer with this face. And it's, uh, rather handsome. If I do say so myself.”
Wilson Knight sounded like he was about to jump all over Michael for how attractive he looks. This show is known for David Hasselhoff getting close to a lot of women, and the first person who was flirting with him on the show was a dying old man. It's now my head canon that Wilson and Devon were a couple before the events of the series began, but because of homophobia, they had to keep their relationship a secret this entire time. What a shame. Hopefully, the eventual and inevitable reboot of the IP is going to recognize that and make it true. There is nothing more adventurous than a gay driver for K.I.T.T.
It's also surprising that Michael wasn't making out with any women in this two-hour pilot movie. He had 95 minutes to get his lips locked with the opposite gender, and the two times he had the chance, he didn't seal the deal. Maggie wasn't around for long enough to see in Michael the man she needed for herself (and who he could have been for her son Buddy – Buddy... what a name for a fictional kid of 1980s television), but she came close. And Tanya was too evil to think about the possibilities that she could spend the remainder of the episode with Michael. The man was too busy getting to know K.I.T.T., getting arrested, getting shot again, and trying to uncover a conspiracy to notice that he had a couple of attractive women who were vying for him in different ways. But I'm sure Michael will taste the sweet lips of his women co-stars, starting with the next episode.
