”She had the nerve to use the sexiest word in the world?”

“What, pneumothorax?”

“Sexiest word in the world is 'No.'”

The show is only interested in the relationship drama. I became aware of it before, but this episode made it obvious to the last remaining viewer who was still hoping to see a good old-fashioned medical drama. At the beginning, I was hoping for a disaster protocol, with hundreds of prisoners being victims of a riot and a fire, filling up all the hospitals in Valencia. And then this episode only had two patients, and four doctors working on them for a couple of scenes. RESPIRA is no ER, which is a shame because the fire could have been used for some action, and to delay the ultimately obvious plot development of the strike being utterly useless for everyone involved. This episode could have all been about saving the prisoners, so that the end of the strike could have been relocated to the next episode, with a stronger focus on the TV debate between Nestor and Patricia.

Instead, it's all back to the character relationships. Quique even turned into a character who is fully focused on his romance with Oscar, as he was absent from the disaster protocol in the first part of the episode, not to mention making himself scarce when it comes to medical storylines in general. May and Rocio can't stop talking about their issues, even if one of them is treating a victim from the fire. And Nestor isn't even involved in anything medical right now, as he is running a strike and getting bullied and beaten for it. By the way, whatever happened to the public's approval of the strike? The writers just forgot about that part of the story?

And because this show is all about sex and love, I still have hopes that Biel and Patricia get it together and join each other in horny matrimony. It's what I was thinking would happen after the first episode, it's what I thought would never happen when Nestor became too important a character for her, and it's what I'm thinking again will happen after the two spent an evening together, just rambling about life. A horny and mature woman is allowed to go for the young and attractive dude.

The most famous doctor in Valencia is too busy being on television right now.
