”Guys, no one but freaking psychos leave their doors unlocked.”

“We leave our doors unlocked.”

This episode doesn't make it any easier for me not to believe that Dylan is the killer who decided to take revenge on the people who took away his big love, only for him not to notice that his big love is still standing right next to him. That the killer would randomly be at the same place with the teens and crazy Clara, as the latter is about to shotgun the kids who intrude on her place, is too coincidental, and it would be a crappy way to move the plot along if any of the teens aren't having thoughts of killing someone. That Dylan is the killer could easily be explained by him taking the machete and using it to defend himself (if he gets caught) or continue his killing spree (for Clara being connected to the bigger picture). But Clara hunting the intruders, Dylan trying to run away, and the killer hunting Clara all at the same time? Yeah, something fishy is going on here.

This show is all about secrets now. Which people keep them, who is lying about them, and what secrets are being revealed when you just investigate for a little bit... The fact that the teens don't act like they are being hunted and terrorized by a killer makes this show less worthy of a watch – the title promised a killer slashing teens for their murderous behavior, and all I got so far was a bloody soap opera in which people are not what they seem and who they say they are. Daddy was married to the woman whom everyone thinks is a killer (does that potentially make Lennon and Allison Clara's daughters?). Margot is a binge eater for clicks. Riley apparently is the drug dealer of the entire town. Lies are being uncovered here, which essentially makes this just like any other Gen Z teen drama out there.

A little love story to distract you from the fact that this slasher horror series isn't delivering the horror.
