”Do you already have enough for your internship report?”

“Yes, I understand the secret methods of power. We do all the work, and they watch.”

Take Your Kids To Work Day! Théa learns how the police precinct works, Karadec learns how annoying Morgane's children are, and Morgane gets to learn a fact or two about Karadec's private life, which he is trying so hard to keep away from everyone. Meanwhile, the viewers get to know that the writers weren't waiting for the love story of Morgane and Karadec to hit the screen, because they were planting each other's crushes in this episode already. And this after I said recently that the show was still doing well because it wasn't pressuring itself to get into that story too soon. Then again, it's just all about having crushes for the two – it's the most normal thing in the world. Théa probably has a crush on Karadec (he is a handsome authority figure and she is a 15-year-old girl, so it tracks), but she is smart enough not to show it. Morgane and Karadec, on the other hand, are a little too obvious about how they feel. He more so than her.

I liked the comedic aspects of the episode, turning this crime procedural into a straight-up comedy for an hour, even if the murder case of the week turned emotional for the climax (just like the previous ones did). Théa's involvement in the case was a neat idea to up the level of humor, not to mention the fact that she might have liked it a little too much to be around her mother when she was working. For once, the two had a really good relationship, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of that in future episodes. Plus, she got to know Karadec a bit more, so that, if he turns out to be her mother's new boyfriend, future husband, and her future stepdad, she can approve of him quicker, since she does seem to like him as a prospective partner for Morgane.

The only thing this episode needed more of was Gilles and Daphne's time with the kids. Gilles seemed interested talking about his job with Théa, but Daphne, as she has always been in previous episodes, was more of a background character. What a shame, because the potential of watching her dealing with the other two kids while Morgane and Karadec were off solving a murder was too good to be wasted for nothing.

Mother and daughter combine their smarts to solve this case.
